Telecommunications. A receiver is characterised by its responsivity defined by

F = (SNR)_OUT / (SNR)_IN

where:

(SNR)_OUT = signal to noise ratio at the receiver input;
(SNR)_IN = signal to noise ratio at the receiver output;
F is expressed in dB.
