NexGuard

NexGuard is an anti-hacking solution from Thomson, introduced in 2006. It consists in encrypting the data for a production (images, sound etc.), and only granting playback rights to the authorised person who, via a USB memory stick, can use the recorded work, but will leave their mark (in the form of a digital watermark on the data).

In this way Thomson is combating films and music pirating from inside the production firms and studios.
