ISDB-T

ISDB-T (Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial) derives from the Japanese ISDB standard, a broadcasting standard for digital television (and radio). There is also ISDB-S (television by satellite) and ISDB-C (cable).

ISDB-T is very similar to DVB-T; its main feature is a bandwidth that can be divided into 13 time slots, several of which (from 1 to 3) are reserved for digital television for mobiles.

Broadcasting is based on OFDM to allow the multiplexing of the various sources, and is in the UHF band (mainly band IV); audio/video encoding is type MPEG-2, HDTV compatible type, and the standard also includes the use of MPEG-4.
