CENELEC

CENELEC (Comité Européen de Normalisation Électrotechnique or European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation) is an organisation that includes the national electro-technical committees of some fifteen Western European countries, members of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The CEN (European Standards Committee) and CENELEC together form a European standards institution (CEN/CENELEC)) which publishes European standards (EN).
