16:9

This is the image size ratio (width/height) that is closest to cinema screens (1.66:1, 1.85:1 and 2.35:1), and allows you to watch films recorded on a DVD and some TV programmes in cinema screen format. There are LCD, LED and plasma screens in 16:9 format as well as video projectors; a standard 4:3 screen can also be used losing part of the screen area.
