Limestone

Limestone is a sedimentary carbonate rock composed of at least 50% of calcite and which may contain dolomite, aragonite. Limestones were formed either by the accumulation of fragments of skeletons, calcium carbonate shells (corals, bivalves, foraminifera etc.), or by chemical or biochemical precipitation of calcium carbonate.
