Greisen

Greisen is a micaceous rock occurring on the edge of granite formations or granite veins resulting from the replacement of granite feldspars by a quartz-muscovite combination under the action of pneumatolytic fluids (water vapour, fluorine, boron, chlorine etc.). Greisens can sometimes make up deposits of cassiterite, fluorite, tourmaline, beryl.
