Pipeline

Pipeline is a procedure that makes the various steps in the processing of an instruction by the processor independent. With Intel for example, these steps are as follows: 1) read memory, 2) and 3) decode, 4) execute, 5) write the result in memory. The output of each step is the input of the next.
