EDI

EDI, Electronic Data Interchange, is the standardised direct exchange of business documents (purchase orders, mandates, payments, inventory analyses etc.) from computer to computer, between a sender, suppliers and customers or partners.

For example, a supermarket's traceability data are sent via EDI.
