Critical temperature

The critical temperature of a substance is the temperature beyond which a liquid phase cannot exist, whatever the pressure.

This term is also used to denote the temperature below which a body becomes a superconductor and sometimes, loosely, when referring to the temperature of a phase change in a general way. This usage is frequent for the ferromagnetic / paramagnetic phase transition.
