Cellulose

Cellulose is a polysaccharide formed of glucose chains bound together to form a fibre.

A polysaccharide formed from many glucose molecules bound together by b-1,4 glycosidic bonds. It is a food fibre that is part of the structure of plants. It is not digested by the human digestive system although it is partially degraded by intestinal bacteria.
