Tundra

Tundra is a low, very slow growing formation of grasses and creeping bushes which only grow during a brief summer season. This type of vegetation is homogeneous around the globe. The average temperature during the warmest month is below 10°C. The temperature is above freezing conditions for only two to three months per year, and annual precipitation is generally less than 250 millimetres. However, the climate is humid due to a very low level of evapotranspiration.
