Cyanobacteria

Cyanobacteria are photosynthetic bacteria of which the pigment (which captures energy from sunlight) is phycocyanin. They can live agglutinated into filaments called trichomes. Chloroplasts are organelles present in plant cells and in which photosynthesis takes place. They are former cyanobacteria living in symbiosis.
