Threshold dose

The threshold dose is the threshold at which a measurable reaction is produced. Below the threshold value, no detectable reaction can be measured even if something does happen. The threshold effects are therefore the very first signs of an effect which can be seen.

These effects may be the first signals of an early warning in a prevention plan against an epidemic or catastrophe.
