svRNA

The svRNA, which means small viral RNA, are small RNA of 22 to 27 nucleotides, which are accurate copies of a part of the viral genome.

In the case of the influenzavirus, their role is to ensure the transition between the transcription stage, which allows viral proteins to be expressed, and the replication stage, in which the copies of the viral genome multiply.
