Microglia

The microglia is a set of microglial cells, which make up between 5% and a quarter of the central nervous system cells.

They are a type of glial cell in the same way as the macroglial cells.

They are star-shaped, small in size and can move. They are related to macrophages and provide the nervous system with immunity.
