Metabolic crossover

A metabolic crossover is a molecule which can act as a substrate for several enzymes involved in different metabolic pathways.

Pyruvate, glucose-6-phosphate (G6P), and acetyl-coenzyme A are particularly notable amongst the metabolic crossovers.
