Bile

Bile is a liquid secreted by the liver, which is stored and concentrated in the gall bladder and emptied into the intestine following a meal. It contains bile salts, cholesterol, phospholipids, bile pigments and various ions. It plays an important role in lipid digestion and excretion of medicines.
